Classes tab: Create and organise teaching groups

 

The Classes tab is where you create and manage teaching groups in Propello. This gives teachers and administrators full control over class organisation, making it easy to set up groups, assign students, and manage membership throughout the year.

 

What you can do in the Classes tab

 

  • View classes → See all existing groups with their assigned teachers and students.



  • Expand a class → Use the dropdown to view members and make quick edits.

 

  • Manage classes → Edit details, archive old groups, or delete classes that are no longer needed.

 

Creating new classes

 

There are several ways to create classes, depending on how your school manages data:

 

 

1. Import via Teams/Google Classroom

 

  • Click Import → select Import via Teams/Google Classroom.
  • Log in securely with your Microsoft or Google account.
  • Groups will sync automatically with Propello.

 

 

 

2. Import via Wonde (MIS Integration) 

 

  • Click Import → select Import via MIS.
  • A request is sent to the Propello support team to set up the integration.
  • Once live, your school’s MIS (for example, SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, iSAMS) syncs directly, keeping classes up to date.

 

 

3. Import via CSV

 

  • Click Import → select Import via CSV.
  • Download the template and complete it with class details (format must match exactly).
  • Upload the file back into Propello to create the classes.

 

 

 

4. Add manually

 

  • Click Create Class.
  • Enter the class name and select a year group.
  • Save the class, then add students and teachers manually.

 

 

 

🔎 Use the search bar (top right) to find classes instantly. This may be helpful for schools managing large numbers of groups.

 

 

💡 If your school already uses Teams, Google Classroom, or an MIS, using an integration is the fastest way to set up and maintain classes automatically.
